before the season starts, join us.
On Sunday, May 17, The Wandering Goose hosts an intimate guest chef pop-up dinner with Mia Ponzi Hamacher of Sosta House in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
About the Chef
Mia Ponzi Hamacher cooks seasonally informed food shaped by French technique and Italian tradition. Her years in New York City kitchens, under Daniel Boulud, Daniela Soto-Innes, and Ignacio Mattos, including time at Forsythia (Michelin Guide) are what laid the foundation for food that is precise without being stiff, and generous without being showy. She's also the chef behind Sosta House, a bed and breakfast on the grounds of the historic Ponzi Winery estate, where her family has been making wine in Oregon's wine country for three generations.
The Menu
For this special evening, Ponzi Hamacher will present a multi-course menu inspired by mid-spring on the coast —highlighting regional seafood, local farms, and the wild ingredients of the Pacific Northwest.
