Presenter: Samantha Larson, Heaven on the Half Shell co-author and communications lead at Washington Sea Grant

Published in partnership with University of Washington Press, the second edition of Heaven on the Half Shell offers a thoroughly researched and richly illustrated history of the significant events that tell the story of the Pacific Northwest’s most beloved bivalve, the oyster. Samantha will share favorite passages and highlights from putting the book together with her co-authors, MaryAnn Wagner and the late David George Gordon. Samantha has written extensively about science topics for publications such as National Geographic, Outside Magazine and High Country News. She has been part of the Washington Sea Grant communications team since 2017.

This conversation will be held, rain or shine, on the back lawn at Tokeland Hotel.
