Groundskeeper

The Tokeland Hotel is the oldest hotel in Washington State, a historic and welcoming destination on the Pacific coast. We take pride in our grounds, gardens, and animals, and we are looking for a hardworking, reliable Groundskeeper to help keep our property beautiful and inviting for guests year-round.

Responsibilities

  • Keep all outdoor areas neat and tidy: trash pickup, sweeping paths, wiping down outdoor chairs and tables, and preparing firepits.

  • Care for farm animals (feeding, watering, daily pen cleaning, opening/closing enclosures).

  • Feed and water the hotel dogs; keep water bowls refreshed at multiple porches.

  • Stock and stack firewood neatly; clean ash from firepits and fireplaces.

  • Clean and maintain the hot tub.

  • Support light maintenance such as gutter cleaning, equipment upkeep, and small repair tasks.

  • Assist with gardening and greenhouse work (watering, planting, weeding, organizing).

  • Occasionally assist hotel staff with housekeeping or laundry when needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in groundskeeping, farm work, or related tasks preferred.

  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.

  • Comfortable around farm animals and dogs.

  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
